Winter Pixels™ - Smart Animated Christmas Lights

I thought the videos on Facebook had to be edited. Not at all. The moment we switched ours on, the whole balcony filled with designs that actually move. The kids went crazy. The biggest surprise: the designs look this good in person.

I kept seeing them on Instagram and finally gave in. Setting it up was much easier than I expected, and now we change the animation almost every night from the phone.

People literally stop to look at our balcony. Santa, snowmen, reindeer, snowflakes - every design makes it look completely different. Easily our favorite Christmas decoration.

Not just a Christmas thing. Put the flag design up on our attic window for the Fourth and it looked incredible next to the roofline lights, people were stopping on the sidewalk to take pictures.

Hung it on the back patio wall and the multicolor tree with the little yellow star on top is the best thing we've done for Christmas out here. It shows up so bright against the dark wall and we've been sitting outside with hot chocolate every night just watching it. Picked the tree in the app in about a minute.

Put the curtain on the wall next to our pool and the gift box animation looks incredible at night. The red, green and yellow reflect all over the water and the blue pool light makes it pop even more. My neighbors walked over just to see it up close.

This is the curtain hung on the wall above our sofa in the daytime, with everything off. The strands are so thin and clear it blends right into the wall, then it comes on in the evening and the whole wall turns into a screen.

We don't have a yard, just the side of the building, so I hung the curtain next to our windows. The tree comes through really clear from the street and the little white sparkles around it are my favorite part. Took about twenty minutes to put up.

Santa hat on the side wall of our house. Every little pixel is crisp, you can even see the pom-pom, and it looks great from across the street. I rotate it with the snowflakes depending on the night.

Here's the curtain hung up and still turned off, wanted to show how close together the strands are. Spaced this tight is why the designs come out so sharp instead of looking like random dots once it's on.

Laid everything out on the table and tested it before going up the ladder, glad I did. The controller is tiny, plugs right in, and the bundled up end lit up bright red the second I powered it on. Hung it the next day.

Our house always felt a bit plain at Christmas. Now there's a glowing green tree with red ornaments on the side wall, and the icicle lights I already had along the roof finally look like part of a real display. People keep stopping on the street to take pictures.

The Grinch on our carport wall is the clear winner in this house. Picked it in the app, set the timer for sunset, and haven't touched it since. Neighbors keep slowing down to look.

Getting it back out for fall. Orange and purple on the porch looks good next to the pumpkins.

Months later and it still works great. We switch the colors around for different occasions instead of boxing it up.

Used the colorful patterns for my daughter's birthday party on the porch. She picked the animation herself and changed the colors a couple of times during the party. Nice to know it's not only a Christmas thing.

Still using it in the spring on the patio. The colors look nice at sunset and friends ask about it when they come over.

Took it down in March, wiped off the strands and rolled it up. Storing it takes almost no room.

Still deciding whether to take it down. The snowflake design looks nice even without the holiday.

Looks best after dark. During the day it's just a clear curtain of strands, which doesn't bother me.

Timer works great, comes on at six and off at eleven without me doing anything.

Quick update after a few weeks: still works, still bright, and the app still connects every time.

Bought the duo so I could do both front windows and it really pulled the house together. Colors are bright even from across the street.

We're thinking of keeping it up for the rest of winter, the white snowfall looks nice on cold nights.

Looking back, one of the better decoration purchases I made this year. Compared to string lights it was less work and looked better. A neighbor already asked if I'm putting it up again next December, so I guess it made an impression.

Love being able to change the whole display from my phone.

The app has way more designs than I expected, and switching between them takes a couple of taps. Went with the 3 meter size for our sliding door and it covers it almost edge to edge.

I'd go with the large if you have a big window. It fills the space better than I expected.

No issues all season, getting a second one next year.

The season went smoothly. A couple of designs weren't my style, but the ones I used looked great.

Took it down after New Year's and it rolled back up easily. It's sitting in the box until next December. It worked every night of the season, and the timer meant I never had to think about it.

I was nervous about the app part because I'm not very techy. It was a few taps to pair it and a few more to pick a design. I figured out the brightness and the timer on my own too.

Medium was the right call for our front window. The small would have looked lost and the large would have been too much.

Nice product and the app is easy to use. My only complaint is that the cable between the controller and the outlet is short, so I needed an extension cord to reach the plug.

Really nice at night. During the day it's barely visible, so it only works after dark. That's expected, just something to keep in mind when you pick a spot.

Christmas Eve and the lights were a hit with the family. Everyone wanted to walk out and look at it from the street, and my sister took a bunch of pictures. We had it on the snowman and snowflakes, nothing flashy, and that was perfect.

Christmas week and no problems at all. The schedule runs it every evening and it's been dependable.

Bought it for my parents and they say it's the easiest decoration they've had in years. My dad used to be the one up on the ladder. This year he supervised from the driveway with a coffee.

We live in a townhouse with almost no yard, so decorating for Christmas always felt like a waste of effort. This changed that completely. One curtain on the balcony rail and we have a real display, the kids picked a different animation each night and my husband loves that he didn't have to be on a ladder for hours.

I put this on our front window mostly as an experiment and it ended up being the thing everyone talks about. Three different people on our street have asked where it came from. The part I like most is not having to touch it, the schedule runs every evening and I just change the design when I get bored.

Got the remote with it and it's handy for quick changes without grabbing my phone. Not essential, but I'd add it again.

Brightness is good for outdoors. Indoors it's a lot at full power, so I run it at about half in the living room.

I didn't think I'd use the app much after the first night, but I change the animation all the time. Weeknights get a calm one, weekends get the busy ones.

Mine hangs inside the living room window and looks just as good from the inside as from the street.

Bought two mediums and connected them side by side on the wall of our covered patio. They stay in sync and it looks like one big display. It looks best at night with the same animation running across both, and it's worth doing if you have the wall space.

Hung it on the wall beside our front door, under the porch roof, and it changes the whole look of the entry. The kids picked the Grinch for the weekend and thought it was hilarious.

My daughter bought this for me because I can't get up on a ladder anymore. I hung it inside the front window with a stool, and my neighbors have been complimenting it all week.

You can slow the animation down in the app, which was exactly what I wanted. The default speed was a bit busy for our living room, so I dropped it way down. Brightness took a minute to dial in too, but now it's set and I leave it alone.

The whole family approves.

The controller is small and easy to hide behind a planter. Other than that there's really nothing to deal with once it's up.
